Hi, I’m Chris. I was born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana, where I grew up working on a farm and alongside my father in his landscaping business. That early experience taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, and taking pride in what you build.

My introduction to the roofing industry came while I was in high school, and I quickly developed a passion for the trade. I spent three years working as a roofing laborer before transitioning into in-home sales, where I learned the other side of the industry, working directly with homeowners and helping them make important decisions about their homes.

After graduating from Penn High School, I attended Ball State University on a full athletic scholarship to play football, earning my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

My professional career eventually led me deeper into the construction industry. I worked in real estate investing and capital raising, helped oversee renovation projects throughout Michiana, and worked as an insurance adjuster conducting field assessments for homeowners whose properties had suffered damage. These experiences gave me a unique perspective on both construction and the homeowner experience.

Over the next five years, I had the opportunity to oversee projects of all sizes, from smaller repairs and renovations to full ground-up developments involving multimillion-dollar projects. Along the way, I developed a strong foundation in construction, project management, leadership, and most importantly, what it takes to successfully serve a customer from start to finish.

But it was one particular experience that ultimately led to the creation of Cubs Roofing.

During a severe storm, a tree branch came through a roof in the middle of the night. Experiencing that situation firsthand made me realize just how broken parts of the home service industry could be, especially roofing. Communication was often poor. Transparency was lacking. Homeowners were left confused about what was happening, what they were paying for, and who they could trust.

I knew there had to be a better way.

That became the foundation for Cubs Roofing.

We built Cubs Roofing around a simple principle: treat people the way they deserve to be treated. That means clear communication, honest recommendations, quality workmanship, and being there for our customers every step of the way.

Our goal isn't simply to install a roof. It's to create a better experience for homeowners throughout Michiana. One built on trust, transparency, and doing things the right way.
